It’s a device that can eliminate virtually all contaminants in the air before entering your home, and Air Comfort Service, Inc. offers installation service to homes in the St. Louis, MO area. Benefits of Installing a Whole House Air Purifier
These gadgets are connected directly to your HVAC system and act as a gatekeeper for all of the air that circulates in your home. No air may enter any room without first passing through the air purifier. All that passes through is therefore subject to the device, which eliminates any harmful substances.
There’s no better way to boost indoor air quality than with a whole house air purifier. While air conditioners and furnaces make use of filters, an air purifier can eliminate up to 98% of contaminants in your home’s air supply. There’s no other appliance that comes close to this level of cleanliness. By installing one of these you can feel comfortable with the knowledge every breath you take is clean and safe.

Totaline Electrostatic 1" Air Cleaner
The Totaline creates a polarized charge to act as a powerful magnet. The filter, or air screen, needs to be cleaned and/or changed every 3-4 months. To give you some perspective, think of this one as being able to catch a grape, but in a standard 1" filter cabinet.
Carrier Infinity Air Purifier
Carrier's Infinity Air Purifier is similar to Honeywell's, but it can capture and remove much smaller particles from the air. Think of this one as being able to remove items the size of grapes.
1"-2" Filter
Most home furnaces come with a standard 1"-2" filter. Think of these filters as being able to remove a watermelon from the air in your home. These filters need to be checked monthly and replaced as needed, usually every 3 months.
Honeywell Electronic Air Cleaner
The Honeywell Electronic Air Cleaner is a 5-7" media filter. Think of this filter as being able to remove particles the size of lemons from the air in your home. This filter needs to be replaced at least once a year.
4" Media Filter
Most home furnaces come with a standard size filter cabinet. Think of a 4" media filter as being able to eliminate particles the size of a grapefruit from the air in your home. Most of the time, unless you have a 4" media filter installed with a new furnace, these filters require some extra work to install since the filter cabinet is much larger than the standard size. These filters also need to be checked or cleaned frequently so that they don't start to restrict air flow which can damage your heating and cooling system.
Pleated Media Filter
1"-2" pleated furnace filters are very similar to a standard filter. Think of these filters as being able to remove a cantaloupe from the air in your home. These filters start to restrict the airflow in your home after a short period of time, so they need to be checked and cleaned or replaced often. Some of the very high-efficiency filters, like some of the filters found in "Big Box" stores, can actually cause damage to your heating and cooling system because they restrict too much airflow.
UV Lamps
UV Lamps kill bacteria and mold that can grow on the coil in your HVAC system, which not only keep the coil clean, but also prevents contaminants from being distributed through your air ducts into your home. A clean coil also enhances the performance of your HVAC system making it more efficient. UV Lamps require little maintenance; just replace the lamp bulbs annually.
